ESD Antistatic ABS Sheet Rod

HONYESD®antistatic ABS Sheet Rod (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a non-carbon-filled anti-static material which has high impact strength, good tensile and flexural strength, and is easily machined. By adding special conductive materials to the resin, the conductivity of ABS is increased to control static electricity formation or conduction. These additives may be in the form of non-carbon alloys, carbon powder, or carbon fibers.  Some properties of the original ABS material are modified by the addition of fillers, but chemical resistance, strength, and manufacturability remain generally the same.

Preparation method of antistatic ABS material
1. Addition of antistatic agent

By adding antistatic agents, the surface resistance of ABS plastic is reduced and its antistatic performance is improved. Common antistatic agents include permanent antistatic agents and non-permanent antistatic agents.

2. Conductive filler

Conductive fillers are added to ABS plastics to make them have certain conductive properties. Commonly used conductive fillers are carbon black, graphite, metal powder, etc.

3. Nanomaterials

The introduction of nanomaterials, such as carbon nanotubes, conductive polymer nanoparticles, etc., can further improve the antistatic properties of ABS plastics
