Applications and Features of Plastic Balls

What is a plastic ball?

Plastic Balls are spherical objects made of plastic that have a wide range of applications and diverse functions. They can be made from various types of plastics such as Polyethylene, Polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride.

Plastic balls are mainly categorized into hollow plastic balls, paraformaldehyde plastic balls, nylon plastic balls, polypropylene plastic balls, PE plastic balls, POM plastic balls, PA plastic balls, and PP plastic balls. Plastic balls have good electrical properties and high-frequency insulation, smooth surface, wear-resistant, self-lubricating, and good oil resistance. Plastic balls are suitable for automotive industry, electronic appliances, mechanical equipment, faucets, bearings, mechanical parts. Plastic balls are available in sizes from 3.175mm to 120mm.

Plastic balls can be categorized into two types: "thermosetting plastic balls" and "thermoplastic balls":

Thermoplastic balls are categorized into three types according to their heat resistance: general-purpose plastic balls, general-purpose engineering plastic balls, and super engineering plastic balls. In addition, according to the degree of distribution of polymer chains, they are divided into two categories: "crystalline plastic balls" and "non-crystalline plastic balls".

Thermosetting resin plastic balls are softened by heating during the molding process and cured by chemical reaction. They do not soften or melt even when subsequently heated.

A thermoplastic resin that softens and becomes workable when heated and cures when cooled. A plastic that softens when heated and can be reused.

Plastic balls can also be categorized into three types: general-purpose plastic balls and engineering plastic balls and super engineering plastic balls:

General Purpose Plastic Ball (General Purpose) A thermoplastic resin that has a low resin price and is easy to process. A thermoplastic resin with properties such as a heat deflection temperature of less than 100°C, a tensile strength of less than 500 kgf/cm2, and an impact resistance of less than 5 kgf.cm/cm.

Engineering Plastic Ball (Empura) resins are mainly used for machine parts and mechanical components, have excellent mechanical strength and heat resistance, and require high performance and are much more expensive than general purpose resins.)

The definition of Empra is unclear, but physical properties include those with tensile strengths of about 500 kg / c or more, flexural elasticity of 20,000 kg / c or more and heat resistance of 100°C or more.

Super Empra A thermoplastic resin that can be used for long periods of time even at heat deflection temperatures of 150°C or higher (even higher than the heat deflection temperature of Empra).

Crystals a polymer with a regular molecular structure with little cross-linking or branching. Typically, not all molecules crystallize. The amount of crystalline fraction is indicated by the degree of crystallinity, and the higher the degree of crystallinity, the higher the hardness, elastic strength, etc., and the less transparent the fraction.

Amorphous plastics are polymers with irregular side chains on the main molecular chain, with branches and in the amorphous state. Atypical states include hard glassy and soft rubbery states and are often characterized by excellent transparency.

Plastic ball main features:

1. Lightweight: plastic ball density is light, lighter than metal, stone, etc.

2. Corrosion resistance: plastic ball has excellent corrosion resistance, can withstand a variety of corrosive media.

3. Good mechanical properties: plastic balls have good elasticity and tensile strength, impact resistance and other mechanical properties.

4. Not easy to deform: plastic ball itself is hard, not easy to deform, in transportation, storage, use process is not easy to be affected by external forces.

Classification of plastic ball

1. According to the material: the current market common plastic ball material PE, PP, POM, PVC and so on, each with different characteristics and applications.

2. According to the use of points: the application of plastic ball is very wide, can be divided into electronic, chemical, medical, building materials, toys and other fields according to different uses.

So far, we can see that the plastic ball has a lightweight, wear-resistant, easy to process and so on, and according to different uses, materials and specifications have different ways of classification.

The main uses of plastic balls:

1. Chemical industry: as filler, can be used in tower reactor, distillation tower, absorption tower, adsorption tower and other chemical equipment.

2. Pharmaceutical industry: can be used as pharmaceutical packaging materials, also can be used as medical filler and manufacture of various medical equipment parts. 3. food industry: can be used for food packaging materials, also can be used as medical filler.

3. Food industry: it can be used in food packaging, water treatment and so on.

4. Mining industry: It can be used as screening media to separate mineral particles. 5.

5. Environmental protection industry: can be used in water treatment, air purification, etc., and can manufacture a variety of environmental protection equipment parts.

6. Other industries: plastic balls are also widely used in electronic and electrical appliances, cosmetics, home furnishings, military and other industries.

In a word, plastic ball has the characteristics of lightweight, corrosion resistance, excellent mechanical properties and not easy to deform, etc. It can be widely used in industrial production, and is suitable for various fields such as chemical industry, medicine, food, mining, environmental protection and so on.

PC ball

Overall, plastic balls are plastic products with a wide range of applications and diverse functions. They play an important role in industry, recreation and scientific research. The lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and low-cost properties of plastic balls make them ideal for use in areas such as fluid control, toys, and experimental devices. However, the properties and limitations of plastic balls need to be considered during use to ensure their safe and environmentally friendly application.
