Sultron™ PPSU Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) is an amorphous high performance thermoplastic offering better impact resistance and chemical resistance than Polysulfone and polyetherimide.

Sultron® PSU is a family of polysulfone products that offer high chemical resistance to acidic and salt solutions, and good resistance to detergents, hot water and steam. In addition, polysulfone has excellent radiation stability, and offers low ionic impurity levels.

Quadrant PPSU is available in natural (bone white), clear, and other popular colors, and can be customized.Quadrant PPSU is commonly used for sterile trays, dental and surgical device handles, and for coupling and assembly applications in fluid control.Quadrant PPSU is USP Class VI compliant.Quadrant PPSU is capable of withstanding Quadrant PPSU is USP Class VI compliant. 1. Quadrant PPSU is Quadrant's polyphenylsulfone machined profile, amorphous, high performance thermoplastic engineering plastic. 2.


2. Compared with PSU and PEI, Quadrant PPSU has better impact resistance and chemical resistance.


3. Quadrant PPSU has better hydrolysis resistance than other amorphous thermoplastics when sterilized by high pressure steam.


4. Quadrant PPSU can be placed in a steam sterilization environment several times, and high pressure steam is widely used for sterilization of medical components.

Sultron™ PPSU

Sultron™ PPSU is an amorphous, high-performance thermoplastic engineering plastic with impact resistance and chemical stability superior to PSU and PEI.


Sultron™ PPSU exhibits excellent hydrolysis resistance during autoclaving, superior to other amorphous thermoplastics. In fact, Sultron™ PPSU can be subjected to virtually unlimited exposure to steam sterilization, which is widely used to sterilize medical components, making Sultron™ PPSU a good choice for medical device components. In addition, Sultron™ PPSU is resistant to corrosion by commonly used acids and bases, including commercial cleaning agents, over a wide temperature range.


Sultron™ PPSU is available in natural (bone white) and other custom colors.Sultron™ PPSU is commonly used in sterile trays, dental and surgical instrument handles, and in coupling and assembly applications during fluid control.Sultron™ PPSU meets USP Class VI standards.Sultron™ PPSU allows for soldering temperatures that are suitable for use in Sultron™ PPSUs have a heat deflection temperature of 207°C. Sultron™ PPSUs are USP Class VI compliant.


Sultron™ LSG PPSU

Sultron™ LSG PPSU is molded by Mitsubishi Chemical High-Tech Materials from selected batches of specific Radel R polyethersulfone resins (e.g., R5100, R5500) Sultron™ LSG PPSU provides impact strength and chemical stability superior to Duratron® LSG PEI and LSG PSU, and is also subjected to autoclave failure tests. Sultron™ LSG PPSU profiles have excellent hydrolysis resistance as demonstrated by autoclave failure tests, and the composition of the profiles complies with the applicable regulations of the European Union (Directive 2002/72/EC, as amended), and the United States of America (FDA) for plastic materials in contact with food. Sultron™ LSG PPSU profiles have been successfully prototyped to demonstrate compliance with the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) and ISO 10993-1 guidelines for biocompatibility testing of materials, and we offer full production traceability from resin to profile. In addition, Sultron™ LSG PPSU profiles perform well in steam, dry heat, plasma, ethylene oxide, gamma radiation and other sterilization environments, making them ideal for medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications.

Medical Rods


Sultron™ PPSU rods are precision machined into smooth, comfortable handles that are used as structural components in medical applications. These grips have outstanding impact resistance and autoclave properties. (Previous material: stainless steel)


Endoscopic Probe Positioning Hoops


Positioning hoops on instrument handles are precision machined from Sultron™ PPSU rods for use in endoscopic surgical equipment. (Previous material: stainless steel)
