In order to meet the needs of different working environments, suspension polymerized PTFE resins and various fillers are usually mixed into filled PTFE resins to make various types of filled PTFE profiles. The filler media usually include: glass fibers, carbon fibers, copper powder and lubricants (graphite, molybdenum disulfide), with high compressive strength, wear resistance, good thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion.
PTFE filled products:
Suitable for seals and lubricating conductors with corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, abrasion resistance, oil-free lubrication, vibration damping and anti-friction within the temperature range of -180℃---+280℃.
Colors can include: black, red, green, blue, yellow, purple, orange and other colors specified by customers.
Application: Widely used in making gaskets, valve seats, bearings, sliders, piston rings, insulating bushings, oil-free lubrication seals and so on.
PTFE filled products include not only filled modified products, but also processed modified products. This category of modified products mainly include PTFE oriented (non-oriented) film, PTFE tape for seamless winding of special cables, PTFE diaphragm, etc. The processing methods of these products are based on the basic PTFE processing methods, and the special processing methods are determined through repeated experimental research and verification.
There are two methods for manufacturing filler-modified suspension PTFE resins: dry and wet. Dry mixing refers to the filler at room temperature and suspension PTFE resin directly mixed. The disadvantage of this method is that it is difficult to achieve uniformity; the advantages are easy to operate, high production efficiency, low product cost, so it has been a commonly used mixing method.
For PTFE filler modification of the filler can be inorganic, organic, metal and metal oxides 3 categories. Inorganic materials include: glass fiber, graphite, molybdenum disulfide, carbon black, carbon fiber, ceramic powder and so on. Organic materials are mainly some high-temperature resistant aromatic heterocyclic polymers, including PEEK, PPS, etc. These organic fillers can make the surface properties of the blends, such as wear, coefficient of friction, surface tension and so on to improve. Metals and metal oxides used as fillers include copper powder, lead powder and so on.
At present, the processing method of modified (filled) PTFE products has become more and more mature, and the application of its formula is more and more targeted. Modified (filled) PTFE products, while maintaining the very low coefficient of friction of PTFE products, its wear resistance is greatly improved. In particular, this feature does not damage the counterpart so that the performance of the dynamic friction seal has been significantly improved, and the service life and safety of key components have been effectively safeguarded. However, if we want to improve the tensile strength, fatigue resistance, dielectric properties and other properties of PTFE, can only be realized by using special equipment and special technology.
All products of HONY Plastis are processed strictly according to the drawing requirements, and the performance of the products meets the professional standards. If you have more technical questions and needs, please feel free to contact us sales@honyplastic.com
