Saint-Gobain Rulon Classification and Applications

Rulon series material is a high-end fluoroplastic, a PTFE-based co-blended resin developed and produced by Saint-Gobain in France. It is suitable for processing bearings, bushings, stamped bowls and seal assemblies.

Characteristics: low friction, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and maintenance-free.

The products are widely used in oil and gas, automotive, life sciences and aerospace applications.

Rulon series materials processed bearings, bushings and a series of sealing components are characterized by chemical resistance, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, etc., and have a strong service life.

Rulon®641	White	FDA approved material, excellent load bearing and wear resistance	Suitable for many mating surfaces, including low hardness steel, 303 and 316 stainless steel and hard materials, ideal for bearings in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Rulon®W2	Black	Low friction, wear resistance and good heat dissipation properties	DVGW certified material for contact with potable water. Suitable for use with most metals and soft surfaces
Rulon®123	Black	Average abrasion resistance, excellent chemical resistance	FDA, USDA, NSF certified materials, price is a little lower, long-term use will have black debris, not suitable for the need for electrical insulation occasions. Avoid ultra-dry and vacuum applications.
