The longer molecular chain (higher molecular weight) gives UHMWPE the main advantages of toughness, wear resistance and Resistance to stress cracking. Because it is a kind of polyethylene, UHMWPE also has lubricity, chemical resistance and excellent electrical properties of general hdpe.
