Bitcoin Miner S19 Pro 100t/110t

In late February 2020, BITMAIN released the S19 Pro miner, which is rated at 110T ± 3% arithmetic power and 3250W ± 5% wall power consumption. As of the end of May, the 19 series miners have been shipped to various mining sites one after another. After a period of stable operation, our personnel arrived at a mining site in central Inner Mongolia and experienced four days to measure the actual operation of the S19 Pro miner on site.

1. Local climate and mine inlet temperature

According to historical weather data, the highest annual temperatures recorded in the area from June to August 2015-2019 were 32°C, 31°C, 36°C, 31°C and 31°C. The mine is located in an industrial park, and the air flow is in a side-in and top-out mode. If the maximum ambient temperature in summer is calculated at 34°C, the maximum summer inlet air temperature of the plant should not exceed 37°C according to the heat source characteristics of the mine, and the air temperature after passing through the water curtain should not exceed 31°C with a relative humidity between 30-80%.

The S19 Pro mining machine is an integrated design of chassis and power supply, its bare machine size is 370×195.5×290mm, which can be placed horizontally or vertically according to the floor space of the mine shelf; the mass is 13.2kg.

The front and rear fans are designed with a double barrel fan, and the outer surface of the fan is arranged with a mesh cover, which protects the operation and maintenance personnel from being injured by accidentally touching the blades and protects the safety of the operation and maintenance personnel; the back of the fan is covered with a grille, which effectively prevents external particles from entering the high-speed rotating fan and hitting the arithmetic board.

The single fan has a voltage of 12V, a current of 1.65A, a maximum speed of 6150rpm and a maximum airflow of 197cfm. According to the change of fan series-parallel characteristics, the parallel fan design on one side of the miner increases the ventilation volume significantly; the series fan design on both sides of the miner increases the resistance of the miner to environmental resistance, i.e. the ventilation volume of the miner does not fluctuate drastically with the change of the mining environment.

Although the wind resistance is not effectively reduced, the heat sink design effectively increases the heat dispersion area of the chip, so that the heat generated by the chip can be evenly and quickly transferred to the heat sink and carried away by the wind in time.

3.Mine machine operation measurement data

The site personnel selected a mining machine under a certain position of the shelf for testing, and obtained the following data through the monitoring background.

S19 Pro miner inlet temperature is 23.1℃, relative humidity is 70%, outlet temperature is 38.8℃; relative humidity is 32%, average air volume is 370cfm; power supply outlet air temperature is 28.0℃. the whole machine power consumption of S19pro miner is 3320W, the average arithmetic power is 111.8TH/s as shown on the miner control page, so the power consumption ratio of S19 miner is 29.69W/T.

The effective arithmetic power of S19 Pro in the pool side is also amazing. The background of ViaBTC shows that the effective arithmetic power is about 111Th/s on average, and after accessing the "Firepower Gun Pool" and turning on the "Hourly Redemption" function, the highest increase in revenue is up to 23% compared to the traditional PPS+ mode. S19pro has an integrated design and a more compact and reasonable structure.

The thermal design of the miner is reasonable, and the combination of fan and heat sink ensures good heat dissipation of the miner.

Under the operation state, the average arithmetic power of the miner is 111.8TH/s, the power consumption is 3320W, and the actual airflow is 370cfm.

In summer weather, the air outlet of the miner can withstand an increase in wind temperature to 61°C and a relative humidity tolerance range of 30-90% or more, which makes the miner much more adaptable to the mining site.
