FR-4 epoxy board insulation temperature resistance grade

The main materials of FR-4 epoxy board are glass fiber cloth and resin (mostly epoxy resin). In order to pursue the best product cost performance, different use environments can choose FR-4 epoxy board with different temperature resistance grades.

The temperature resistance grade of the common FR-4 epoxy board is divided into 8 levels, and the temperature resistance degree, winding temperature rise limit, and performance reference temperature corresponding to each level are different. The 8 temperature resistance grades are A grade, E grade, B grade, F grade, H grade, C grade, N grade and R grade. Among them, R grade is the highest level of FR-4 epoxy board, while A grade is the lowest level of FR-4 epoxy board. Our common FR-4 epoxy boards are E grade and B grade.

The corresponding limit operating temperature and normal operating temperature environment will be clearly marked in the electrical equipment used. The supporting FR-4 epoxy board must be selected to withstand the test of this temperature to ensure that it can work normally at this temperature for a long time. Do not cause the failure of the entire device due to the inappropriate grade of the insulating material.

In addition, the FR-4 epoxy board will cause accelerated aging and failure with the persistent work in a high temperature environment, so it is very important to choose a suitable FR-4 epoxy board.
